The Visisys system may define any number of actions with custom event filters, and may be configured to handle several parameters for each event. Any activity happening inside the system (like motion detection alarm, fire alarm, illegal access, intrusion into secured areas, and so on) can be seen as an event.

• Events can automatically start an action – for example, activating video recording and/or restricting access to any room
• Different kind of actions can be defined after any kind of events
• Users can define complex scenarios as needed by using a special script language
• Pre-alarm video recording allows the acquisition of video for the time period preceding the real event
• Digital video playback and smart search of video archives allow f searches based on date and time
• Operators can remotely monitor the system over over satellite, wireless, intranet, internet or dial-up, and network connections
  
  

The even-based approach allows the system to react to and solve problems without the attention of a system operator.
