Mayer has been working with Scrimp, LLC and Organic Miracle, Inc. to provide hydration supplies for hospitals and relief efforts and to raise funding for the relief efforts with Gordon Atlantic www.gordonatlantic who builds hospitals and schools.

UKI Foundation and has aggregated $500,000 and is seeking another $500,000 with the goal of raising $1mil to access $50 million in UKI Foundation support pledged for the Haitian people.

“I am grateful to have the opportunity to participate in the relief efforts in Haiti to help relieve the suffering there,” said Jerry Bakke, President of Organic Miracle, Inc. “Our appreciation extends to UK Investors Foundation for their generous support of the relief efforts.”

The Miami-based UKI Foundation issued a $3 million dollar purchase order for the Organic Miracle, Inc. Hydralite™ and Scrimp LLC Aqua Vitae™ water packaged in 12-ounce aluminum cans to support the relief efforts.

“The water is the essential element that the country cannot live without,” said Jack Mayer, UKI Foundation President. “We partnered with Organic Miracle, Inc. because their Memphis plant has the capacity to bottle 10 million cans a month for the Haiti relief effort and future international relief participation with the United Nations Water for Life program.”

Organic Miracle, Inc. manufactures Hydralite™, a product used in clinics and hospitals to fight dehydration and which is approved for distribution to pharmacies and clinics.

“The Hydralite™ product is one that is essential to the medical workers who are attempting to treat those injured and resuscitate those who are facing injury and dehydration from the earthquake and its aftermath,” said Bakke.

Scrimp, LLC and UKI Foundation with Organic Miracle are working with US Southern Command, Pope Air Force Base, Fayetteville, NC and World Vision to distribute products to Haiti and World Vision medical teams and relief workers on the island.

"We are working with can manufacturers and aluminum manufacturers to secure donation of $1.7mil in cans for the first 600,000 cases of water which will provide a weeks water supply or 1,440,000 cans for those living in camps in Haiti after losing homes to the earthquake," said Patricia Gavin, Scrimp, LLC.  "Our goal is to work to establish recycling and bottling efforts locally in the wake of the disaster there."
